This privacy statement describes how ROAMpay collects and uses the information you provide.

When you first launch any of our mobile application Services, you will be asked to consent to the application's collection of location information. We currently require this location information in order to provide our Services, so if you do not consent to this collection, you cannot use our Services. If you initially consent to our collection of location information, you can subsequently stop our collection of location information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device. If you do so, the ROAM application will no longer function. You may also stop our collection of location information by following the standard uninstall process to remove all ROAM applications from your device.

Information you provide to us: When opening an account, examples include, without limitation: owner information (owner name, address, phone, email, and other similar information) and business information (business name, business address, industry, Federal Tax ID number (if applicable), and other similar information). If you visit our site without opening an account, we recognize your domain name and IP address, but do not record your e-mail address.

 

Information we collect from your use of the Services and other ROAM interactions: Here are some examples including, without limitation:

  • Transaction Information. When you use our Services to make or accept payments, we collect information about when and where the transactions occurred, a description of the transactions, the payment amounts, information about the devices and payment methods used to complete the transactions, bank account and payment card numbers to enable settlement, other relevant information about the financial institutions you use to conduct business, and basic user information, such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, photograph, and birth date. We also collect other financial information, including bank account numbers, payment card numbers, and other historical, contact, and demographic information.
  • Location Information. When one of our applications is open on your mobile device, we periodically receive information about the location of the device.
  • Your product and Service information that you upload to your account(s) that you have with ROAM or third party providers (including inventory and pricing data).
  • Other ROAM interaction information such as customer support or surveys.
  • Your usage information about how you use the Services, including your access times, browser types and language, and Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses.

 

Information We Collect From Other Sources.  We may also collect information about you from third parties, including but not limited to third-party verification services, credit bureaus, mailing list providers, and publicly available sources. This information may include your Social Security number.

Various Uses of Information. We use information about you to provide, maintain, and improve our Services and to deliver the information and support your requests, including receipts, technical notices, security alerts, and support and administrative messages. We also use information about you to improve and personalize the Services. We may use information we collect to send you news and information about our Services and to communicate with you about products, services, contests, promotions, incentives, and rewards offered by us, our affiliates and select partners. We may also use information about you (i) to track and analyze trends and usage in connection with our Services; (ii) to process and deliver contest and promotion entries and rewards; to protect our rights or property; (iii) to compare information for accuracy; (iv) to verify your identity; (v) to investigate and prevent fraud or other illegal activities; and (vi) for any other purpose disclosed to you in connection with our Services. We may use third-party service providers to process and store personal information in the United States and other countries.

Personal Information

You may update, correct or delete information about yourself by logging into your account at any time or by emailing us at info@roamdata.com We will respond to a request to access personal information within 30 days. You may also email us if you wish to deactivate your account, but even after you deactivate your account, we may retain archived copies of information about you and your transactions for a period of time that is consistent with applicable law. We will retain your information and location data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy.  We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share personal information about you as follows:

  • With third parties to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including service providers who access information about you to perform services on our behalf (e.g., fraud prevention and verification services), and including financial institutions, processors, payment card associations, and other entities that are part of the payment process. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us; 
  • With third parties that run advertising campaigns, contests, special offers, or other events or activities in connection with our Services;
  • We also may share that information with our clients. Our clients may send you promotional material that is related to the topic of the service for which you registered unless you have chosen not to receive it. If you do not want us to share your personal information with these companies, contact us at info@roamdata.com;
  • In connection with, or during the negotiation of, any merger, sale of ROAM’s stock or assets, financing, acquisition, divestiture, or dissolution of all or a portion of our business. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
  • If we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary (i) to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, such as a subpoena, or governmental request; (ii) to enforce applicable user agreements, protect our rights or policies; (iii) to investigate fraud and protect the security or integrity of the Services; or (iv) to protect us, our users or the public from harm or illegal activities; and
  • With your consent or direction.

If you choose not to accept these cookies, your experience at our website and other websites may be diminished and some features may not work as intended.

Third party providers associated with our website may employ clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), images, and scripts that help them better manage content on our site. We do not tie the information gathered to our customers’ or users’ personally identifiable information.

We take reasonable measures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, to help protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.  We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers, and information access authorizations. Credit card, location data and e-mail information will not be shared or sold to third parties for any purpose without your express permission. ROAM uses industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypted servers to protect credit card, client’s information and location data. SSL codes the information transferred between you and the server, rendering it unreadable to anyone trying to intercept the information. Wherever ROAM collects personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.  However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
